π¨CLOSING DOWN ANNOUNCEMENT π¨
Unfortunately, after 30 years of business, Sussex Roses (Nine Gables Nursery) will be closing at the end of 2026 due to our landlord selling up.
We are of course devastated to bring you all this news as this has been our family business for the past 30 years.
Please see important details below:
We will remain at Steyning Farmers Market until October (October 3rd being our final market).
We will remain at Stable Antiques until November (date tbc).
Our webshop and order books will remain open for the next few months; we will update you all in due course when we will be closing these officially. However, we will not be doing Christmas this year.
All 2026 weddings remain unaffected, and all 2027 couples have now been contacted.
We are holding some open days as we have stock and wedding equipment as well as growing equipment that we do need to sell, there will also be some free to collector items, such as pots, carry trays, seed trays, pallets:

Grown in Sussex Since 1996...
We, at Sussex Roses, are a small, family run, cut flower nursery and florist based in West Chiltington, Sussex. With over 50 years combined experience we are specialists in commercial rose production.
Our flowers, foliage and herbs are grown on our nursery and are cut to order to ensure maximum vase life. Our growing season typically runs from the end of March to the beginning of November, but we outsource from other local growers when we have limited availabilty.
With approximately 10,000 roses bushes we specialise in the production of roses for cut flowers. We have 14 varieties of roses with a range of colours and styles.
We also grow a range of other flowers and foliages, some of which are pictured below.
